What is L.S.B.L.? Light Streams for Better Living Center, Inc. is a non-denominational spiritual community dedicated to the development of the whole person, Spirit, Soul and Body. We teach that God is absolute good, everywhere, present within all persons and readily accessible to everyone. Light Streams is a Wisconsin non-profit corporation and a member of the Universal Foundation for Better Living located in Miami, Florida where the Reverend Dr. Mary Tumpkin is President and the Reverend Dr. Johnnie Colemon is Founder-President Emeritus. |
Our Vision: Light Streams for Better Living Center empowers truth seekers to live from their divine spiritual nature as we demonstrate the universal message of love to all people. |
Our Purpose: To create an atmosphere and environment where we are taught universal spiritual principles and the techniques to express our Divine potential and talents. As a teaching ministry, we are dedicated to spreading the empowering message of Jesus the Christ. We feel our message of Practical Christianity is the liberating truth for people all over the world. Therefore, our programs and activities are geared to the development of the individual's true potential and the active expression and practice of truth principles in his/her daily life. We teach a message of hope, peace, joy, happiness, prosperity and unconditional love. A seven-day-a-week religion that is a true guide for better living. Our aim is nothing short of spiritual transformation. Simply... We are here for God! |
Our Motto: To Magnify God, Empower, Heal and Serve. |

In 1986 Denise Lockhart, a licensed teacher of the Johnnie Colemon Institute, the teaching arm of |
the Universal Foundation for Better Living, after many months of prayer, meditation, visioning and asking for spiritual direction, heard the still small voice say, "Build My Church." Denise shared this vision with five other individuals who were interested and ready to make a commitment to their own personal spiritual development and to bring to Milwaukee a new teaching of spiritual transformation and personal growth. |
